Homero Cerón, Principal Percussionist of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, is a multi-talented musician who has been involved with music since age 6.
Homero feels comfortable in a variety of settings, however specializing in melodic percussion instruments : vibraphone, marimba and steel drums.
Acclaimed Hollywood conductor/arranger/producer Victor Vanacore referred to Homero as ” a very special kind of musician with a real knack for rhythm and phrasing”.
Additionally, Homero is an experienced music educator in fields ranging from Artist in Residence at pre-school centers, to Head of the Percussion Department at Pima College.
He has written and recorded music for film and television as well as performed in theater, opera, chamber music, and jazz groups.
Homero was recently signed as a Southwestern U.S. Yamaha Artist.
